Leyenda...

Cuenta la leyenda que hace muchos años, en la isla de Lanzarote una adolescente lloró la pérdida de uno de los corderos del rebaño que estaba cuidando. De sus ojos verdes surgieron lágrimas que petrificaron al contacto con el suelo y formaron una de las piedras más bonitas que existen en nuestra naturaleza. La desconsolada joven, por supuesto, se llamaba Olivina.

La diosa Timanfaya quedó conmovida y mandó a las aves recoger esas piedras preciosas que habían quedado en la playa y que las dejaran caer en las montañas para mezclarlas, como símbolo de la bondad humana.
